About The Trip
Annapurna Base Camp Trek (4,130 m) is also called the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, which passes through the gigantic and majestic lap of the Himalayas. This trek is a classic tea house trek where you will be staying in the small lodge. Annapurna Base Camp Trek Route
Route to Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins with the drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by another short drive to Nayapul. Here, the trekking begins, and the route diverges two ways. A direct route to the base camp via Chhomrong is available, but we will instead take the detour through Ghorepani Poon Hill. In doing so, we will pass through numerous Gurung, Magar, and Thakali villages and experience the culture and lifestyle of the local people. The morning at Poon Hill is also a major highlight of the trek, where we can enjoy the breathtaking sunrise view over the Himalayas.
Following the morning there, the actual Annapurna Base Camp Trekking trail resumes as we pass through Tadapani, Chhomrong, and Deurali to finally reach the Machhapuchhare Base Camp (MBC). The challenging part of the trek is over, and it is mostly smooth sailing till the Annapurna Base Camp from here. We will explore the base camp in the evening and stay the night at a lodge nearby. The morning hours at ABC are amazing, and the first rays of the sun color the whole place golden.
The return journey takes us mostly through the same route as before but offers a comparatively easier experience as the trek is mostly descending. You will have more time and energy than before to enjoy the region's culture, scenery, and wildlife during this time. Finally, we successfully complete the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with the trek back to Nayapul and drive back to Kathmandu via Pokhara.

Best Season for Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is most popularly done in the spring and autumn seasons. These periods, lasting from March to May and September to November, respectively, offer the best experience for this trek with stunning views and pleasant trekking weather.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek weather in the winter season (December to February) is also possible and an excellent time to enjoy the mountain views. Do keep in mind, though, that the temperature can get very low, and snowfall can block the route at a higher altitude sometimes.
